You Will Never Leave This Island…Shutter Island Review
Shutter Island (NO SPOILERS PRESENT)
I been waiting for this movie for a VERY long time since before its delay and its first trailer. Epic is how I described the trailer. Scorsese + DiCaprio = Win Win, I mean The Departed was fucking amazing. DiCaprio is also the most talented actor right now (RR, The Departed and his 27 movies to come no lie look at imdb.com). I misinterpreted this movie to be more horror but it was way more thriller and mystery. It was a very very good movie the ending disappointed me a tad at first and my first reaction was it was pretty good but not as high my exceptions (which tends to grow so big when a movies delayed).
Though I been thinking about the movie all day and really want to see it again so I like it even better than I thought safe to say best of the very short 2010 already. DiCaprio once again was amazing, the story wasn’t stupid or cliched (though we can thank the book for that one), the scenes were handled amazingly and the shots. The music really played and this movie really gets inside your head (or you get inside its?).
At one point I felt like it reminded me of 1408 just not retarded. Anyways BY FAR worth a check out go see it now…Now I will anticipate the next really fucking epic movie to come out which coincidentally has DiCaprio in it…Christopher Nolan’s Inception.
Epic is the key word of this post.
