The number one reason Futurama is the best animated series and one of the best shows is because it has real character development. It is a VERY funny show, but they have stories like this one from one of my favorite episodes “The Sting” to get you attached to the characters.
I can’t wait for its return.

Valentine’s Day: A Tale
The boy stood outside her door as the rain came pouring down on him. He placed his fist to the door and went to knock. The door opened to reveal the girl of his dreams. It is the fourteenth of february, valentine’s day. He holds roses by his side in hopes to give them to someone he truly loves.
“Can I come in?”
“Go away David.”
He stood outside in the pouring rain the first night, hail the second, and snow the third night. He screwed up, David and Leanne had been dating for six months. It was David’s first serious relationship. Seven months ago they met at their high school rally.
“This is my cousin Leanne.”
David reached out his handshake and shook Leanne’s hand.
“Nice to meet you.”
Not sure how but Leanne spun his world around and they were hooking up at the rally by nights end. By week’s end they became close and by months end.
“I don’t know how to ask this so…”
“Yes.”
She stopped him before he could reach the words. They were madly in love until she caught him cheating on her with his history teacher at graduation. So now he stood in the bitter cold waiting for her to open the door, to let him back into her life.
“It was a misunderstanding.”
Leanne finally opened the door.
“Why did you do it then?”
“For you.”
Leanne looked perplexed.
“I stole her wallet.”
David took her wallet out from his pocket.
“She had a coupon to chuck e. cheeses.”
Leanne started to tear up. She threw her arms around him and kissed him passionately.
“I have something else for you.”
David pulled something out from behind him.
“Oh my god. I can’t believe it.” she exclaimed.
It was I can’t believe it’s not butter, butter.
Needless to say they got back together and they spent the rest of their days in bliss.
Moral of the Story: Believe in the power of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, it may just save your love life.
